Pre-K & Kindergarten 101:  Social, Emotional, Logistics

Welcome Pre-K and Kindergarten families to Arbor Heights at our first General PTA meeting of the 2019-20 school year. 

Our focus for this meeting will be on Pre-K & Kindergarten.  This is a chance to chat with fellow Pre-K and Kindergarten parents, ask all the questions (e.g. “What happens if my child cries in class?”), hear from some Pre-K & Kindergarten teachers and veteran elementary school parents on what to expect this first year, and hopefully spark a connection of continued support.

7:10 p.m. – Questions and Brainstorm Breakout (sticky notes)   –   PTA Board Facilitation

7:25 p.m. – Reconvene    –  PTA Board Facilitation

7:25 p.m. – Guest Teachers  (topics pre-arranged) Ms. Gardner & Ms. Amble

7:55 p.m. – Veteran PTA Parent Q&A, Sticky Notes Review

8:15 p.m. – Breakout   –  Group A) Socialize Group B) Brainstorm and self coordinate parents/family social

8:30 p.m. – Remind about PTA membership

  Board vote on budget adjustment (stipend allocation for Special Education )
