Become a Hawkeye
We’re excited to continue the Hawkeye program at Arbor Heights this year! Hawkeyes are parent volunteers who help strengthen our school-family connection by supporting teachers and keeping families informed.
What is a Hawkeye?
- A Hawkeye serves as a liaison between the PTSA and the classroom, forwarding bi-monthly updates (drafted by the PTSA – you don’t have to write the emails) to parents about school events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved.
- A Hawkeye may also work with the classroom teacher to share additional needs, such as sign-ups for class parties, snack donations, classroom volunteers, etc.
- A Hawkeye does not need to be present in the classroom during the day. The role is about communication and coordination. Hawkeyes interested in volunteering within the class room should complete the SPS volunteer application.
- This year, we’re adding a structured sending cadence along with additional tools and supports to make the role easier and ensure families consistently get the updates they need.
If you are interested in becoming a Hawkeye or would like more information, please email Rikki Hill.
Want to stay informed?
Even if you aren’t able to volunteer to be Hawkeye, you can still stay connected! Please complete this form: AH Hawkeye Communication Opt-in to receive Hawkeye communications for your child’s class. This ensures you’ll receive the bi-monthly PTSA and classroom updates, event reminders, and sign-ups that the Hawkeye shares.
Thank you for helping us build strong classroom communities where every family feels connected and every child benefits from our shared support.
